The HNPS Band Program helps students in Years 3 to 6 learn an instrument, rehearse in ensembles, perform at school and community events, and grow through regular tuition.

Junior Band and Intermediate Band families are invited to an evening concert in the school hall. Students will share the music they have been preparing and celebrate their progress so far this year.
A 2-night, 3-day camp held at CRU Galston Gorge, where students will be in rehearsals and tutorials with professional music tutors. Much of our musical growth and maturing happens at this camp.
A celebration of NSW Education, this is a chance for Big Band to perform for the wider school community.
The Australian School Band and Orchestra Festival is one of the largest school band festivals in the country. It is non-competitive, with schools (instead of receiving 1st, 2nd, etc.) receiving Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards based on their ability in their section. This event will be held at Knox Grammar.

Hornsby North Public School has been hosting the Hornsby North Band Festival for more than 10 years, and it continues to be an incredibly popular band festival. Bands receive adjudication from two respected band professionals and are graded as either Highly Commended, Credit, Distinction, or High Distinction. A band from each section will be recognized with an award, and a school or band that demonstrated particular excellence over the course of the day will be presented with the Capaldo Award.
